COLLEGE FIELD HOCKEY: SVE’S COVILLE SIGNS WITH KEUKA COLLEGE (2023-05-17)

SPENCER — There are few college campuses which offer the beauty and serenity than the one located in Keuka Park, New York.

That’s only part of the reason students choose to attend Keuka College, which also offers a strong curriculum and competitive athletic programs.

All of that added up to S-VE’s Erika Coville signing to attend Keuka and become a member of its field hockey program.

Coville loved the atmosphere and appeal that Keuka College offers prospective students.

“I picked Keuka College because I loved the campus and when touring it felt like home, and when I met everyone they were very welcoming,” she said.

The Wolves (6-13 overall) went 4-5 and earned their first berth in the Empire 8 Conference tournament this past fall.

They also had six team members named to the 2022 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Academic Squad. All six will return in the fall.

The Keuka roster included four players out of the Section IV Field Hockey Conference, three who are returning.

Coville also feels there are a variety of ways she can contribute to the Wolves’ program.

“I believe I can help other fellow freshmen work hard and have fun, and bring some new skills to the team,” she said.

Coville will be majoring in health science with a minor in education.
