COLLEGE TRACK & FIELD: CANDOR’S JENSEN SETS SCHOOL RECORD (2023-04-06)
Tioga County Sports Report
GENESEO — Candor grad
Lance Jensen set a school record in the 200-meter dash Monday.
Competing in the Early Season Invitational, the sophomore posted a time of 21.35 seconds to establish the new mark. His time was just 21/100ths of a second off the facility record set in 2014.
Prior to that, Jensen teamed with Eli Boothby, Jason Rappazzo and Bryan Jacobs to win the 4x100 relay with a time of 42.18 seconds.
The times in both events were good enough to qualify for the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference Championships in May.
The Knights head to Rochester Saturday to face RIT.
