COLUMBIA, S.C. — Newark Valley grad Jonny Sherwood finished in third place at the season-opening Weems Baskin Invitational March 24.

The Catamount freshman posted a time of 9:58.39. The two competitors who finished ahead of him are seniors.

WCU heads to North Carolina for the Duke Invitational April Friday and Saturday.
