YOUTH BOWLING: OWEGO’S QUICK TO COMPETE IN STATE TOURNAMENT (2023-03-15)

OWEGO — Grayson Quick is excited to join the Owego bowling program when he reaches the 7th grade. For now, however, the Apalachin Elementary School 5th-grader will exhibit his skills at the youth level.

Quick currently holds a 172 average and recently rolled a new high series of 691. His effort included two games of 235 and a 221.

On April 22, he will head to Rome, New York to compete in the state tournament.

The 11-year-old garnered 1st-place honors at the New York State Pepsi Regional Tournament in 2019, 2021 and 2022. This year, despite competing with an injured finger, 2023 he finished second.

Last year, he led his team to victory at the team regional tournament held at Ideal Bowling Center and went on to win High Series 12U at states in Syracuse with a 591.
