INDOOR TRACK & FIELD: OWEGO’S McHUGH EARNS TOP-10 FINISH AT STATE QUALIFIER (2023-03-04)

ITHACA — Abigail McHugh placed 7th in the 3,000-meter run to lead a small group of Owego competitors at the Section IV Indoor Track & Field State Qualifier Feb. 25.

McHugh posted a time of 13:05.1. She also recorded a season-best 6:17.66 in the 1500 run, placing 23rd.

Lilly LaFever finished 20th in the 1500 with a time of 6:02.25.

LillyMay Wheeland took 14th in the high jump, clearing 4-0.

In the boys meet, Evan Wasielewski was 14th in the preliminaries of the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.32 seconds.
