TIOGA COUNTY — A girls bowler and a boys basketball player have been selected the Twin Tier Dumpsters top athletes for the past week.

SVEC’S MARSH IS GIRLS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
Janelle Marsh placed sixth at the Section IV Girls Bowling State Qualifier Saturday, grabbing the sixth position on the section’s All-Star team.

The senior rolled an 1829 series during nine qualifying games, posting a 203.22 average.

OWEGO’S BANGEL IS BOYS "ATHLETE OF THE WEEK"
John Bangel scored 17 points as the Indians posted a 56-33 victory over Dryden in the Section IV Class B Boys Basketball quarterfinals Friday.

The senior will lead second-seeded Owego (13-5) against third-seeded Waverly (18-2) in the semifinals Tuesday.
