IAC JV BOYS BASKETBALL: CANDOR GETS EARLY JUMP IN WIN OVER S-VE (2022-03-29)

CANDOR — Candor scored 22 points in the first quarter and another 20 in the second en route to a 64-23 IAC JV boys basketball victory over S-VE Friday.

The Indians held the visitors in check allowing the Panthers just 10 points by the break.

Carson Heidl scored 28 points to lead the way, and added five rebounds, three steals and an assist. Donald Makie had 13 points, eight boards, four assists and two steals; Matt Smith chipped in with six points, four boards, two assists, a block and a steal; and Charlie Hilbert added four points; seven boards and three steals.

Ryan Huizinga pulled down 11 rebounds to go with three points, two steals, a block and an assist; Cam Sinn contributed four points, three boards, a steal and an assist; Noah Banks had two points, four steals, and three rebounds; Zach Lang had two points, six steals and a rebound; and Nick Oakes tacked on two points, two steals and a rebound.

Luukas Carling led S-VE with 11 points while Chris Merrick and Isaiah Bodie contributed seven and five, respectively.
