SECTION IV INDOOR TRACK & FIELD: McHUGH LEADS OWEGO AT SECTION IV CLASSIC (2023-01-29)

ITHACA — Abigail McHugh was the top finisher for Owego at the Section IV Classic indoor track & field meet Saturday, placing sixth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 13:20.76.

LillyMay Wheeland placed in the top 20 in three events. She was 17th in the high jump (3-6), 19th in the long jump (12-11) and 20th in the 1500 run (6:20.08).

Lilly LaFever finished 12th in the 1500 (6:01.35) and 26th in the long jump (9-10 ¼).

In the boys meet, Ruben Lemmon took 26th in the 600 with a 1:42.75 and Jaxson Belokur was 29th in the 1600 at 5:28.87.

Zach Beyer placed 43rd in the 55 dash (:8.12) and Sam Beyer came in 44th in the 300 (:45.8).

Owego competes in the Section IV championships Feb. 10.
