MARATHON — Abby Bunce scored seven fourth-quarter points, and Marah Cooper and Gabby Evans added three apiece as S-VE came back to defeat Marathon, 39-33, in IAC girls basketball action Friday.

The Panthers had to dig themselves out of a 10-point hole after a quarter and doubled up the Indians, 20-10, over the middle two periods.

Evans finished the game with 11 points, knocking down a pair of 3-pointers, and also had two rebounds and a steal. Bunce contributed seven points, 10 boards and one assist; and Cooper added seven points, five rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block.

Taya Sousa canned a pair of 3-balls, to go with two blocks and two assists; Aubrie Kastenhuber had one three, three steals and two assists; Adriena Farmer added four points, two boards and a steal; Raegan Sudnikovich had one point, three rebounds and three steals; and Faith Farmer grabbed three boards.

S-VE hosts Owego Wednesday.
