IAC BOWLING: SVEC TEAMS CONTINUE TO ROLL WELL (2023-01-19)

OWEGO / GROTON — The SVEC bowling teams continue to perform well, sweeping rival Tioga Tuesday and splitting at Groton Thursday.

BOYS
SVEC 4, Tioga 0
The Eagles won by scores of 928-712, 948-858 and 929-818, and captured the total pinfall, 2805-2388.

Kody Floyd was on fire in his first two games, rolling 234 and 221 en route to a 636 series. Matt Fitch closed out his 624 series with a 258 and Calvin Curkendall contributed a 212 and 201 on the way to a 560 series.

Aiden Jackson contributed a 211-498, Tyler Dunham had a 171-478 and Justin Tuffarella tacked on a 156-395.

Frank Chapman led the Tigers with a 210-560 and Gage Cain added a 190-543.

The Eagles’ Kameron Smith led the exhibition bowlers with a pair of 139s and a 406 series. Ryan Swayze had a 139 game as well and Will Dizer tacked on a 138.

SVEC 3, Groton 1
The Eagles won the first game, 700-665 and the third, 854-703, which launched them to the total pinfall win, 2260-2078. Groton won game two, 710-706.

Kody Floyd led the way with a 223-521, Calvin Curkendall shot 174-494, Aisen Jackson scored a 170-475, Jason Tuffarella had a 172-434, Freddy Schmidt added a 120-342 and Will Dizer tacked on a 112-308.

Nick Hall paced Groton with a 212-534.

In exhibition, Tyler Dunham had a 199-506, Kameron Smith added a 170-428 and Derick Ryant shot a 152-362.

GIRLS
SVEC 4, Tioga 0
Janelle Marsh was on fire, rolling games of 226 and 266 on her way to a 661 series.

Kaitlyn Floyd posted a 214-530, Kaydee Jackson had a166-481, Jenna Reagan added a 107-315 and Raina Schneider-Kern had a 221 series.

SVEC won by scores of 928-673, 948-710 and 929-794, and grabbed the total pinfall, 2805-2177.

Tioga was paced by Caroline Chapman with a 183-461 and Chloe Gillett with a 162-451.

Groton 4, SVEC 0
The Eagles put just four keglers on the lanes. This allowed the Indians to win, 706-526, 607-495 and 676-472, and take the total pinfall, 1989-1493.

Janelle Marsh rolled a 200-509, Kaydee Jacskon added a 134-384, Jenna Reagan pitched in with a 169-341 and Raina Schneider-Kern had a 259 series.

Groton’s Lacie Hilker had a 452 series and teammate Emily Cargian added a 161 high game.

SVEC meets Tioga again Friday, this time at the Valley Bowling Center in Waverly.
