TIOGA COUNTY — Two basketball tournaments and a wrestling tourney kick off a weekend which includes two other tournaments.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Candor vs Groton, 5:30 p.m.: The battle of the Indians takes place in the opening round of the Lansing Tip-Off Tournament.

Newark Valley (1-0) at Odessa-Montour, 7:30 p.m.: The Cardinals are coming off an impressive win in their season opener.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Newark Valley vs Horseheads, 6:30 p.m.: NV begins the season facing the Class AA Blue Raiders in the first round of the Drago Tournament in Oneonta.

WRESTLING
SVEC at Clyde Cole Tournament, 3 p.m.: The Eagles start the season off on the road in Oxford.
