OWEGO — The Owego boys cross country team has landed three runners on the STAC Central / East All-Conference all-star team and three more on the Central All-Division squad.
Senior Jace Stuart, junior Noah Heath and sophomore Sullivan O’Donnell have been selected all-conference.
An unforeseen medical emergency less than 100 meters from the finish line cost Stuart an individual Section IV Class C championship while the Indians lost out on the team title by one point. Stuart, projected as a top 10 finisher at the state meet, was unable to compete in that event, but did receive the Sportsmanship Award.
O’Donnell would qualify for the state meet. Also qualifying for the state championships was freshman Magavin Allen, who earned a Central All-Division nod.
Freshman Gavin Heath and senior Christian Hodges were named all-division as well.
