COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL: CANDOR GRAD SWARTZ HAS SOLID ROOKIE SEASON (2022-11-22)

ONEONTA — Candor grad Shelby Swartz led the Hartwick College volleyball team in blocks in her freshman season.

A right side / outside hitter, she knocked away 58 balls while playing in 83 of the Hawks’ 91 sets.

She also had 138 ½ service points and 41 digs, both good for fifth on the team.

Swartz also contributed 100 kills, 18 assists and eight aces.

Hartwick went 8-1 in the Empire 8 Conference and was 20-5 overall.
