COLLEGE HOCKEY: NV GRAD CLARK SETS, TIES SCHOOL RECORDS (2022-11-20)

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Newark Valley grad Emma Clark set a King’s College women’s ice hockey record for assists in a game and tied the school record for points in a game in a 7-4 loss to Chatham University Saturday.

The sophomore recorded three assists, which came on the Monarch’s final three goals and allowed her to set the assist record and tie the points mark.

Clark has started in all six games for King’s and has three assists and three points on the season.

She scored two goals and handed out two assists during her freshman campaign.

On the ice, her awards include the 2021 All-MAC Winter Sportsmanship Team, the MAC Academic Honor Roll and the United College Hockey Conference All-Academic Team. Clark was also named to the 2021 MAC Academic Honor Roll in field hockey and the 2022 Fall MAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

A two-sport competitor for the Monarchs, Clark started in all 17 games for the field hockey team this season.

She scored three goals, including two in a 4-0 victory over Lycoming College. Her other goal this season came in a 5-1 loss to FDU-Florham. Clark now has five career goals.

King's finished the season 3-5 in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom and 6-11 overall.
