IAC GIRLS SOCCER: SVEC’S MORSE, WELLS NAMED TO DIVISION ALL-STAR TEAM (2022-11-09)

Tioga County Sports Report
CANDOR / SPENCER — SVEC’s Kara Morse has been named a first-team goalkeeper on the IAC South large School girls soccer all-star team.

The Candor senior made 135 saves for the Eagles this fall, despite sitting out a small part for the season with a thumb injury. Morse was moved to a defender position, but was able to return to guard the net in the final game.

She had several games where she collected 15 or more saves with a single-game high of 21.

SVEC’s Jessica Wells was selected to the second team at forward although she was sometimes utilized as a midfielder this fall as well.

The senior scored five goals this season and has played every position except goalkeeper.

Both athletes served as team captains.
