TIOGA COUNTY — The Section IV Class B Boys Golf Championship kicks off a busy week, but that’s not the only big deal on the docket.

A couple of local cross-country meets are on this week’s schedule as well and the IAC South Large School girls soccer champion could be crowned in Newark Valley.

Here is part, but not all of this week’s schedule.

MONDAY
The Owego boys golfers head to Soaring Eagles in Horseheads for the Class B championships.

Tioga hosts rival Candor on the volleyball court in a key IAC South Small School battle while S-VE looks to keep its successful season going in an IAC crossover match.

TUESDAY
Newark Valley will host the IAC South cross country meet.

SVEC hosts NV in boys soccer in a later start.

Four Owego teams hit the road for STAC action.

WEDNESDAY
Newark Valley hosts Elmira Notre Dame in a game which could have an impact on the IAC South Large School title while Candor heads to Waverly for girls soccer.

NV visits Waverly for IAC South Large School volleyball.

THURSDAY
Newark Valley will be the site of the annual Bob Greene Cross Country Invitational, which features all five Tioga County programs plus several other teams.

NV heads to Tioga for boys soccer.

FRIDAY
Depending on the outcome of games earlier in the week, the IAC South Large School girls soccer champion could be decided when Waverly heads to Newark Valley.

SVEC football hosts Bainbridge-Guilford at Candor for homecoming.

The Candor volleyball team hosts Newark Valley.

SATURDAY
In a rare Saturday afternoon contest, the Owego football team will host top-ranked and defending Class B state champion Maine-Endwell at 3 p.m.
