TIOGA COUNTY — A showdown between a pair of top-10 ranked boys soccer teams and a pair of football games head the list of events on today’s platform.

CROSS COUNTRY
SVEC at Rochester McQuaid, 9 a.m.: The Eagles are competing in the prestigious Mcquaid Jesuit Invitational.

BOYS SOCCER
No. 6 SVEC (10-1) at No. 10 Afton / Harpursville (9-1), 1 p.m.: The state-ranked Eagles will put their 9-game win streak on the line against another top 10 team.

FOOTBALL
Chenango Valley (0-3, 0-1 Division IV) at Newark Valley (0-3, 0-2 Division IV, 1:30 p.m.: Both teams are looking for their first win. The Cardinals took state-ranked Susquehanna Valley into overtime last week before falling by a field goal.

SVEC (1-2, 1-1) at Delhi (3-0, 2-0), 1:30 p.m.: The Eagles make the long road trip east with hopes of putting a chink in the 7th-ranked Bulldogs’ divisional title hopes.

GIRLS SOCCER
No. 21 Newark Valley at Candor, 10 a.m.: The Indians nearly upset Odessa-Montour their last time out and will entertain a state-ranked Class B foe in NV, whose only blemishes are a 1-0 loss and a scoreless tie.

GIRLS TENNIS
Chenango Valley (9-2) at Owego (2-8), 10 a.m.: The Indians are coming off a win over Windsor and face a strong CV team in a regular season finale.

VOLLEYBALL
Owego at Baldwinsville, 9 a.m.: The Indians hit the tournament trail again, this time competing in the tough Baldwinsville Volleyball Tournament.
