TIOGA COUNTY — A showdown between the Section IV Class B girls soccer champions owns the spotlight on today’s schedule of events.

BOYS GOLF
Owego (5-3) at Chenango Forks, 4 p.m.: The Indians are coming off a victory over Chenango Valley.

BOYS SOCCER
SVEC (8-1) at Waverly (6-3), 4 p.m.: The Eagles made the biggest jump of any team in the state rankings this week, leaping 11 spots from No. 17 to sixth. SVEC won their first meeting, 7-0.

GIRLS SOCCER
Candor at Odessa-Montour (6-3), 4:30 p.m.: The Indians and the Grizzlies just dropped a 3-2 heartbreaker to Class B 13th-ranked Waverly.

Owego (7-2) at Chenango Valley (7-2), 7 p.m.: CV won their previous meeting early in the season, 2-0, and currently sits at No. 6 in the Class B state rankings.

Tioga at Newark Valley (7-1-1), 7 p.m.: The Cardinals, ranked 21st in the state Class B rankings, will face the Tigers under portable lighting.

GIRLS SWIMMING & DIVING
Oneonta (4-0) at Owego (0-4), 6 p.m.: The Yellowjackets have twice as many competitors as the young Indians.

VOLLEYBALL
Edison (4-2) at Candor (4-3), 6:30 p.m.: The Indians have won two in a row to move above .500 while Edison is coming off a loss to Tioga.

Owego (7-0) at Norwich (0-5), 6:30 p.m.: The Indians dominated their first meeting in the season opener.
