SECTION IV FIELD HOCKEY: SVEC EDGES TIOGA, 1-0 (2022-09-28)

TIOGA CENTER — Taya Sousa scored the lone goal of the game to lead SVEC to a 1-0 victory over Tioga in a Section IV Field hockey battle here Wednesday.

Sousa tallied on a feed from Raegan Sudnikovich with just over three minutes remaining in the first half.

The Eagles unloaded 17 shots on Tiger goalie Chloe Gillette, who was solid in the cage with 16 saves.

SVEC held a 6-3 advantage in penalty corners.

Eagle keeper Katelyn Klym had five saves.

SVEC hosts Marathon Friday.
