CANDOR — Meradyth Stouffer found the back of the net on a feed from Jessica Wells, but it wasn’t enough as Candor fell to Watkins Glen, 4-1, in IAC girls soccer action here Tuesday.

“We did not have many shots on goal, but our team worked real hard,” Candor coach Scott Morse said.

Candor took four shots and didn’t have any corner kicks.

Skye Honrath scored two goals, and Sasha Honrath added a goal and an assist. Ava Kelly and Olivia King chipped in with one assist apiece.

Goalkeeper Lillian Ameigh registered four saves as the Sebecas improved to 6-2-1.

Indians netminder Kara Morse collected 18 saves, and their back-up goalie, Jillian Holmes, played just a few minutes and made one save.

Candor visits Union Springs / Port Byron Wednesday.
