IAC VOLLEYBALL: TIOGA TOO MUCH FOR NEWARK VALLEY (2022-09-26)

NEWARK VALLEY — Tioga proved to be too much for Newark Valley during Monday’s IAC volleyball action, posting a 3-0 victory over the Cardinals.
The Tigers won by scores of 25-13, 25-20 and 25-15.
Jasmine Graham had seven kills and two digs for NV, and Kalyna Graham added six kills and two digs. Jenna Hanson handed out nine assist to go with a kill, two aces and three digs; Rosie Wandell recorded four assists, a kill, an ace and a dig; Laura Ludwig had two aces and two kills; Michael Medina added four digs and two assists; and Leah Austin-Whitaker and Matthew Kasper tacked on one dig apiece.
Reese Howey led Tioga with 14 points, six kills, two blocks, six digs and three assists; Kyra Bailey contributed 12 points, three digs and two blocks; Hailey Browne had seven points, two aces, five kills, and five digs; and Megan Shumway had seven points and three aces; Megan Vance pitched in with three points, six kills and two digs; and Lily Mesler added two points, two assists and five digs.
NV slipped to 1-4 and will host Watkins Glen Wednesday. Tioga improved to 6-1.
JV: Tioga (7-0) swept the JV match, winning by scores of 25-19 and 25-10.
