STAC VOLLEYBALL: OWEGO SWEEPS CV, IMPROVES TO 5-0 (2022-09-21)

BINGHAMTON — Owego improved to 5-0 on the season with a 3-0 sweep of Chenango Valley in STAC volleyball action here Tuesday evening.

The Indians won by scores of 25-11, 25-16 and 25-9.

Maggie Hamed racked up 10 kills and six digs, and Sophia Palladino registered nine kills and six digs.

Saylor Ayers served up five aces and tacked on seven digs while Bella Miller recorded five aces and dished out seven assists.

Lexi Herceg handed out 11 assists.

Owego hosts Oneonta Thursday.

JV: The Indians won, 2-1. They took the first set, 25-19, but dropped a close one in the second, 24-26. Game three went Owego’s way, 25-22.

McKenzie Donnelly had five aces, Sofia Silvanic chipped in with eight digs, Payton Newman had 11 assists, Alyssa Morales added five kills, and Elle McLaren tacked on three kills and one block.
