LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL: OWEGO DIEDRICH FINISHES RUNNER-UP AT OWEGO 12U ‘B’ TOURNAMENT (2022-07-25)

OWEGO — Windsor completed an unbeaten run through the “B” Division of the Owego Little League 12U Tournament at Hyde Park Sunday, defeating Owego Diedrich, 11-1, in the championship round.

Windsor chipped away early to build a 5-0 lead after three innings, then capped its first-place effort with three runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth.

Owego would avoid a shutout with a run in its final at-bats. Caden Morrow walked with one away to start off the bottom of the fifth. He advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored on Nolan Card’s two-out single to center field.

Card was the only Indian to pick up a hit in the game, going 2-for-2.

Windsor went 7-0 during the 17-day event. Owego finished the tournament with an 8-2 record.
