YOUTH SOFTBALL: EYOTA 10U COMPETES ON HOME FIELDS (2022-07-11)

APALACHIN — Eyota 10U went 2-2 in the 1st Annual 10U Eyota Nation Muth Invitational this past weekend, bowing out to eventual champion Southern Tier Thunder in its final game.

In Saturday’s pool play, Eyota dropped its opener to Blizzard, 5-2, then bounced back to rout BC Pride, 14-1, and nip Titans, 3-2.

The team lost to the Thunder in Sunday’s Gold bracket semifinal (score unavailable). The Thunder went on to defeat Blizzard, 10-7, in the championship game.

BC Pride won the Silver bracket.

Eyota also played a fourth game Saturday, but it did not count on their record as it was played to ensure their opponent, Fury Fastpitch, got a third pool play game.
