IAC BOYS GOLF: SVEC MAKES IT A PERFECT 10 (2022-05-13)

CANDOR — SVEC won its 10th IAC boys golf match of the season Thursday, defeating Odessa-Montour, 164-214, at Catatonk Creek Golf Course here.

Jacob Banks carded an even-par 36 on the front nine to capture the medalist honor. He recorded a birdie-3 on the fifth hole.

Taylor Brock and Noah Banks shot 42s while Tyler Greeno rounded out the scoring with a 44.

Nathan Gillette added a 47 and Bryce Young tacked on a 54 in non-scoring rounds for the Eagles.

O-M was led by Benson Patterson with a 46. David Patterson contributed a 50, Austin Hoyt shot 52 and Jacob Shaul scored a 66.

Aidan Vogel and Wes Wade posted 67 and 71, respectively, in non-scoring rounds.

Jacob Banks and Brock, both of whom have qualified for next Thursday’s Section IV Medalist Tournament, will lead the Eagles at Marathon today as they look to close out their second straight unbeaten dual match season.
