OWEGO - Owego and Windsor will meet for the fifth time this season when they square off in the Section IV Class B championship match Saturday.

The Indians swept Windsor, as well as Norwich and Oneonta, during the pool play semifinals here Thursday evening. The Black Knights won the regular season match, 3-0, but Owego countered by winning both sets at the Windsor Tournament. In last Saturday's STAC championship, Windsor turned the table in four very close sets, winning 3-2.

Pool play would go the top-seeded Indians' way. After defeating No. 4 Oneonta by a pair of 25-13 scores, Owego topped Norwich, 25-11 and 25-14. The Indians capped off their perfect night by downing Windsor, 25-19 and 25-23.

Grace Thomas handed out 45 assists during the course of the six games, and had 14 blocks, three digs and two kills. Kaylee Kelly recorded 17 kills, six digs and one assist; Mackenzie Struble had seven kills, eight digs, five aces and two blocks; and Annika Kinney chipped in with 21 digs, and also had three assists, one kill and one ace.

Ruby Coleman pitched in with nine kills, seven blocks, four digs and two aces; Evee Coleman contributed 12 kills and two blocks; Sara Zepkowski helped out with six kills and two blocks; Taylor Aubel had two kills, for digs and two aces; Makenna Boehme added two digs; Bianca DaVita had four digs; Haleigh Whatley added a kill and a block; Maddy Powell had an ace and a dig; and Emma Howe posted two kills, a block and a dig.

Saturday's championship will be played at Corning High School at 6 p.m.
