TIOGA COUNTY — Five members of the Newark Valley girls basketball team and their coach have been honored by the Basketball Coaches Association of New York as All-Section IV all-stars.
Junior Hayley Beebe has been selected the Class C Player of the Year.
She is joined on the first team by senior Taylor Benjamin and sophomore Cha Gardner.
Seniors Hannah Ferguson and Gracie Gardner are second-team picks.
In addition to being the only team with five honorees, NV’s Greg Schweiger has also been named the Class C Coach of the Year.
Waverly’s Kennedy Westbrook is the only other Tioga County player selected to the team.
