COLLEGE TRACK & FIELD: CANDOR GRAD JENSEN NAMED ALL-AMERICAN (2022-03-15)

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Candor grad Lance Jemsen earned All-American status at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships Saturday.

The SUNY Geneseo sophomore teamed with John Goldszer, Kieran Sheridan and Brian Ivey to place third in the 4x400-meter relay. The quartet recorded a time of 3:16.96.

The previous week, the Knights’ 4x400 relay won the All-Atlantic Region Indoor Track & Field Championships. Jensen teamed with Goldszer, Sheridan and Jason Rappazzo for a time of 3:17.41.

Jensen also competed in the individual 400, placing seventh in 50 seconds flat.

He had four other wins during the season. He took the 400 at Brockport’s Welcome Back Meet (:51.72) and at the Brockport Invitational (:50.68), and was first in the 4x400 relay at Nazareth Alumni Opener (3:22.55) and the Conference Tune-Up at Nazareth (3:17.86).

Jensen also placed third in the 400 at the SUNYAC championships (:50.08).
