IAC BOWLING: SVEC GIRLS SWEEP TIOGA; BOYS JUST MISS (2021-11-30)

WAVERLY — The SVEC girls improved to 8-0 on the season with a 4-0 sweep of Tioga at the Valley Bowling Center here Tuesday while the Eagle boys barely missed a perfect day.

Down, 2-0, the Tigers rallied to win the final game and take the total pinfall, creating a 2-2 deadlock.

GIRLS
Paced by Olivia Bennett and Janelle Marsh, the lady Eagles collected their second sweep in as many tries.

Bennett opened with a 204 and came away with the high series of 563.

Marsh notched the high game, a 245, on the way to a 556 series.

SVEC won by scores of 784-624, 696-680 and 778-747, giving the Eagles the total pinfall, 2258-2051.

Kaitlyn Floyd rolled a 164-447, Kaydee Jackson had a 132-323, Morgan Bensley added a 120-319 and Calli Marsh had a 113-305.

BobbiJo Tarbox led the Tioga effort with a 183-510. Caroline Chapman had a 155-445, Chloe Gillette added a 168-406, Allie Creller scored 144-346 and Jaime Card tacked on a 136-344.

BOYS
Rocco Fariello rolled a 210 in the third game while Gage Cain and Dylan Slater matched 206s to give Tioga a 979-945 victory. That would allow the Tigers to squeak past SVEC for a 2778-2774 total pinfall win.

The Eagles won the first two games, 917-907 and 912-892.

SVEC's Kody Floyd paced all the keglers, racking up games of 225, 214 and 224 to post a 663 series.

The Eagles' Garrett Lindhorst contributed a 179-529, Matt Fitch scored a 202-525 and Tyler Dunham chipped in with a 200-520.

Aiden Jackson added a 190-498 and Calvin Curkendall tacked on a 169-477 for SVEC.

Dylan Slater posted a 208-608 for Tioga, Cain had a 206-574 and Fariello pitched in with a 210-537. Frank Chapman shot a 178-531, Nick Slater added a 181-526 and Bradley Webb recorded a 158-416.
