TIOGA COUNTY — The IAC Small School Volleyball Championship owns the spotlight as Candor returns to defend its title.

VOLLEYBALL
Candor (17-1) vs. Union Springs (9-9) at TC3, 5 p.m.: The Indians have won the past three IAC Small School championships and are heavy favorites to repeat this season. The Wolves lost to Candor in the 2019 title match.

FOOTBALL
Horseheads (7-0) at Owego (2-5), 7 p.m.: The Indians and Blue Raiders suffered losses to Maine-Endwell, but the Spartans were forced to forfeit five wins when it was discovered they used an ineligible transfer student. Horseheads is coming off a win over Union-Endicott while Owego lost to Vestal last week.

Tri-Valley (3-4) at SVEC (5-0), 7 p.m.: The Eagles have won 11 consecutive games dating back to their last 11-man season and are ranked second among the state's 8-man programs. The Bears are traveling from Section IX to accommodate SVEC's senior night. The Eagles traveled to Section V last week and beat Wellsville, 48-8.
