SECTION IV BOYS SOCCER: FOUR TIOGA COUNTY TEAMS QUALIFY FOR POSTSEASON (2021-10-15)

TIOGA COUNTY — Four Tioga County teams have qualified for the Section IV Boys Soccer Championships.

Owego has received the No. 2 seed in Class B while SVEC is seeded fourth and Waverly is seeded ninth. In Class C, Newark Valley is the 10th seed.

First round, quarterfinal and semifinal games will be played at the home of the higher seeds.

The first round is scheduled for Tuesday, quarterfinals are slated for Oct.22 and the semifinals will be played Oct. 26.

The Class B and Class C championship games will be held at the Wright National Soccer Campus in Oneonta on Oct. 30 at a time to be announced.

CLASS B
With the second seed, the Indians (9-2-1) have earned a first-round bye and will host No. 7 Dryden (10-4) Oct. 22 at 3:30 p.m. at Cristy J. Valvo Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Eagles (11-3) receive a bye in the opening round and host No. 5 Windsor at Candor at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 22.

Waverly (7-5) is seeded ninth and will visit No. 8 Susquehanna Valley (4-6-2) Oct. 19 at 5 p.m.

Chenango Valley (14-0), ranked fifth in the state is the top seed.

CLASS C
The Cardinals (5-6-2) open postseason play on the road in Franklin against 7th-seeded Franklin/Unatego (12-1-1).

Lansing (13-1), the state's top-ranked team, is seeded first.
