COLLEGE CROSS COUNTRY: OWEGO GRAD SZABO DOING WELL AT SUNY CORTLAND (2021-09-28)

CORTLAND — Owego grad Cameron Szabo placed 42nd out of 203 competitors at the Roberts Wesleyan Harry F. Anderson Men's Cross Country Invitational Saturday.

The SUNY Cortland sophomore recorded a time of 27:07.2 on the 8K course as the Red Dragons finished sixth out of 18 teams.

Szabo also placed 83rd in a field of 335 runners at the University of Rochester's Yellowjacket Invitational Sept. 18.

He recorded an 8K time of 27:50.6 while competing against Division I runners from Cornell, Buffalo and Colgate. Cortland was eighth in the 16-team field.

Szabo placed 12th at the season-opening SUNY Cortland Short Course Cross Country Invitational Sept. 11 with a 6K time of 21:30.8. The Red Dragons were first out of five teams.

Cortland competes at Geneseo's Mike Woods Invitational Saturday.
