IAC BOYS SOCCER: SVEC PULLS AWAY FROM WAVERLY IN SECOND HALF FOR 3-0 SHUTOUT (2021-09-21)

SPENCER — Like it did in the first meeting two weeks ago, SVEC pulled away in the second half to post a 3-0 IAC South Large School victory over Waverly here Tuesday.

Mason Holmes and Addison Young registered one goal and one assist each. Jacob Banks contributed a goal and Skyler Kwiatkowski tacked on an assist

The Eagles, who scored the winning goal early in the contest, maintained possession the majority of the game, keeping the ball in the Wolverines' end of the pitch the majority of the contest.

SVEC took 22 shots to Waverly's two and held an 8-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Aidan Swayze made one save for the Eagles and Cameron McIsaac collected nine for the visitors.

SVEC (3-3, 2-0 division) visits Newark Valley Thursday.
