ON TAP TODAY: IT'S A FAIRLY BUSY SCHEDULE FOR TWO SCHOOLS (2021-09-17)

TIOGA COUNTY — Newark Valley and Owego are taking up today's schedule with three events planned for each.

FIELD HOCKEY
Newark Valley (2-1) at Sidney (3-1), 7 p.m.: NV is coming off an impressive win over M-E and has a tough foe in the Warriors.

FOOTBALL
Newark Valley (0-1) at Bainbridge-Guilford (1-0), 7 p.m.: The Cardinals lost a tough one in their season opener while B-G won a non-conference contest.

Owego (0-1) at Johnson City (0-1), 7 p.m.: Both teams suffered lopsided losses in their season openers and will be looking to win their Division III openers.

GIRLS SOCCER
Ithaca (1-1) at Owego (3-1), 7 p.m.: The Indians have posted two straight lopsided victories, but move up in class to face the Class AA Little Red.

Newark Valley (2-0) at Greene, 7 p.m.: The Cardinals are back in action after a week off.

GIRLS TENNIS
Owego (0-3) at Norwich (2-3), 5:30 p.m.: The Indians hit the road with their three-player squad. The Purple Tornado won their previous meeting, 4-1.
