Tioga County Sports Report
ENDICOTT — Owego (Schrader) continued its high-scoring exhibition in the 10C division quarterfinals at the U-E Little League 10U All-Star Tournament here Saturday morning, but the runs just weren't there as they fell in the semifinals later in the day.

Owego scored 50 runs in three pool play games to tie Maine-Endwell (Chudacik) with 3-0 records. M-E would receive the top seed for bracket play and Owego was No. 2. They would drop Vestal Gold, 14-3, before being eliminated by No. 3 Greene, 10-2.

Owego 14, Vestal Gold 3
Owego forced several plays at the plate which Vestal was unable to capitalize on.

Vestal did manage to keep the score a little closer than the 24-0 loss it suffered against Owego in pool play.

Greene 10, Owego 2
When the two teams met in pool play, Owego squeaked out a 13-12 victory.

Unfortunately for Owego this time around, the team just wasn't able to match the 16 runs-per-game average it brought into the contest.

Greene (4-1) advanced to meet the 4-0 M-E (Chudacik) team for the title Sunday — both teams entering the contest averaging more than 17 runs per game.

NOTE: No further information was available for the Owego games.
