ENDICOTT — Owego (Morales) split a doubleheader in 12B division pool play at the U-E Little League 12U All-Star Tournament here Wednesday, falling to Union-Endicott (Stallman) before closing out the night with a victory over Johnson City (Stallman).

U-E 10, Owego 4
U-E locked up the seventh seed for bracket play. No further information was available.

Owego 7, Johnson City 4
Owego improved to 2-2 and is ensured a No. 5 or 6 seed for bracket play, which begins Thursday.

Cayden Adams belted a one-out triple in the bottom of the first inning and scored on Cayden Smith's single to give Owego a 1-0 edge.

Owego made it 3-0 in the second as Caden Morrow smacked a double, then stole third and home, and Lynkon Craft doubled, moved to third on the throw from the outfield and also stole home.

JC rallied to tie the game in the top of the third, but Owego made it 5-3 in the fourth. Dylan Brace and Sam Buchsbaum hit back-to-back singles, then Brace scored on Morrow's ground out and Buchsbaum crossed the plate on Eric Schrader's ground out.

Johnson City would get a run back in its half of the fifth, but Owego tacked on a pair of insurance runs when it came to bat. Beckett Tirinato singled and scored on a Payden Morales double. Morales would score on an Adams single.

Morales struck out three of the final four batters to end the game. He finished with six Ks in three innings, giving up three hits and one run. Morrow got the start, fanning eight while walking four and allowing two hits in three innings.

Adams went 3-for-3 at the plate with a run and RBI. Morales and Morrow had a hit, run and RBI apiece; Brace, Buchsbaum, Brace and Tirinato chipped in with one hit and one run each; Smith added a hit and RBI and Schrader drove in a run.
