YOUTH BASEBALL (10U): M-E GETS BEST OF OWEGO (GREGORY) AT U-E TOURNAMENT (2021-07-21)

ENDICOTT — Maine-Endwell (Novotny) scored the majority of its runs in the first and final innings to defeat Owego (Gregory), 10-2, in 10B division pool play at the U-E Little League 10U All-Star Tournament here Tuesday.

M-E scored four runs in the top of the first, then built a 6-2 advantage before scoring four more in the sixth.

Owego picked up both its runs in the first. Ben Harvey singled and scored on Jeremiah Wheeler's base hit. Wheeler would advance on an error and wild pitch, then score on Lincoln Miller's ground out.

Wheeler went 2-for-2 on the evening with a run and an RBI. Harvey added a hit and a run, Miller had a hit and an RBI, and Landon Boccasini added a hit.

Owego has drawn the seventh seed for bracket play and will face M-E (Novotny) again Friday at 4:30 p.m. at Glendale Park's Kayner Field.
