OWEGO — Owego (Gregory) doubled up Union-Endicott (Wiseman) in the first inning and rolled to a 16-6 win in the 10B consolation finals of the Owego Little League 10U / 12U Tournament here Monday.

Owego outscored U-E, 8-4 in the first, then secured the victory with six runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Rocco Canfield picked up the win in relief, hurling 3 2/3 innings of two-hit ball He struck out seven and walked five. He was also 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored.

Camden Thole went 2-for-2 with three runs and two RBI; Joram Belokur was 2-for-2 with a run and three RBI; and Lincoln Miller was 2-for-2 with a run and two RBI.

Jeremiah Wheeler contributed a hit, two runs and an RBI; Truett Hall had hit, run and two RBI; Landon Boccasini chipped in with a hit, run and RBI; Dylan Gregory added two runs; Ben Harvey, Nick Tavelli, Devon Brace and Colby Cordero scored one run apiece.

U-E grabbed the early lead with five walks and two singles, but Owego countered with a two-run triple by Hall, a two-run single from Belokur, and walks to Wheeler, Gregory, Thole, Miller, Tavelli and Cordero, and a run-scoring error off the bat of Brace.

Endicott closed the gap to 8-6 in the third, but consecutive singles by Thole, Canfield and Miller, and a one-out single by Belokur pushed the lead to 10-6.

Boccasini's RBI triple and steal of home, Wheeler's RBI double, Thole's two-run double and Miller's RBI single, all coming in the fourth, ended the game via the mercy rule.

Owego faces Maine-Endwell (Novotny) for the championship Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. If needed, a second game will be played at 7:45 p.m.
