YOUTH BASEBALL (10U): OWEGO (GREGORY) FALLS BEHIND EARLY IN OWEGO TOURNEY LOSS (2021-06-30)

OWEGO — Maine-Endwell (Novotny) scored seven runs in the bottom of the first inning and ran away for a 19-6 victory over Owego (Gregory) in Owego Little League 10U Tournament pool play action here Tuesday.

M-E extended it's lead to 10-0 in the second and tacked on nine more in the third. M-E had just six hits, but capitalized on 11 walks and seven errors.

Owego would get on the scoreboard in the fourth innings, pushing a half-dozen runs across.

Ben Harvey got things going when he reached on an error, moved to third on a Jeremiah Wheeler single and scored on Rocco Canfield's one-out double which also plated Wheeler.

Camden Thole followed with a double to score Canfield and Lincoln Miller made it three consecutive doubles, scoring Thole.

With two down, Devon Brace reached on an error which brought Miller home, and Brace scored on a wild pitch for the team's final run.
