BOYS BASKETBALL: S-VE SPLITS TWO IN SUMMER LEAGUE PLAY (2021-06-21)

WAVERLY — Spencer-Van Etten split two Varsity division games here Monday to begin Week 2 of the Waverly Summer Basketball League.

The Panthers ran away from Tioga, 39-19, to start the evening off, but fell to once-beaten Towanda, 56-48.

In Week 1 play, S-VE lost to Waverly, 59-39, and Troy, 47-28, June 14. On Wednesday, the Panthers pounded Elmira Notre Dame, 44-20, but fell to Candor, 57-52.

S-VE is off until June 30 when it plays Athens at 7:20 p.m. and the Elmira JV at 8:10 p.m.
