IAC BASEBALL: NEWARK VALLEY GAINS PAIR OF ALL-STARS (2021-06-17)

NEWARK VALLEY— Newark Valley's Mikey Wandell and Luke Rinkavage have been named IAC baseball all-stars for the 2021 season.

Wandell was selected to the Division 2 first team. He was the ace of the Cardinals' pitching staff and carried the lowest ERA in the league (0.42) despite playing in what was arguably the toughest division. He struck out 77 batters in 33 1/3 innings. At the plate, the junior hit .400.

Rinkavage, a junior, was named an honorable mention. He posted a .459 batting average (17-for-37).
