SECTION IV TRACK & FIELD: S-VE'S GARRISON, MOUILLESSEAUX, SUTHERLIN, WALTER EARN MULTIPLE INDIVIDUAL PODIUM FINISHES (2021-06-08)

TRUMANSBURG — Spencer-Van Etten's James Sutherlin finished among the top six in three individual events while the Panthers' Demi Mouillesseaux, John Garrison and Elliott Walter placed in two individual events apiece at the Section IV Class C1 Track & Field meet here Tuesday.

The meet recognized the top six place-winners in each event with a podium ceremony.

Walter was the runner-up in the discus with a throw of 118-4. The top two finishers in each event advance to the Section IV Showcase Saturday at Marathon. He also took third in the shot put with a heave of 37-2 1/4.

Garrison placed third in the 1600-meter run with a time of 4:58.53 and in the 3200 in 11:212.95.

Sutherlin finished fourth in the long jump with a leap of 19-10 1/2, took fifth in the 200 in 23.89 seconds and was seventh in the 100, clocking 11.76 seconds.

Mouillesseaux recorded to sixth-place efforts. She leapt 30-4 in the triple jump and ran a time of 28.48 seconds in the 200.

The Panthers' 4x800 relay (names unavailable) qualified for the showcase as well with a runner-up time of 8:59.1.

Following are S-VE's other podium finishers.

BOYS
Michael Connor finished third in the high jump, clearing 5-8.

Tyler Stahl took fifth in the 800 with a time of 1:12.2.

Ryan Corcoran placed sixth in the 400 in 55.73 seconds.

GIRLS
Greta Paasch placed fifth in the 400 with a time of 1:07.47.

The 4x100 relay took fifth, clocking 56.48 seconds.
