ODESSA — Candor rode back-to-back seven-run surges to a 20-4, six-inning IAC victory over Odessa-Montour here Monday.

Leading, 6-4, Candor erupted for seven runs in the top of the fifth, then matched that number in the sixth and went on to end the game via the 15-run mercy rule.

O-M picked up all its runs in the fourth after falling behind, 6-0.

Shelby Swartz highlighted the fifth inning with a grand slam and finished the night with seven RBI. She added a triple in the sixth and scored four runs.

Anna Greeno went 4-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI; Addie Aman was 3-for-4 with four runs and two RBI; and Chloe White was 3-for-5 with three runs and an RBI.

Kelsey Bates and Hannah Kinner each went 1-for-2 for Odessa.

Candor (3-3) hosts Newfield Wednesday at 5 p.m.
