CANDOR — Anna Greeno's first of two home runs sparked a 10-run uprising as Candor rolled to a 19-0 IAC South Small School victory over Odessa-Montour here Thursday.
The three-run blast came with the Indians holding a 1-0 lead and highlighted a 10-run first inning.
Candor tacked on six runs in the second and three more in the third, and would end the game in five innings via the mercy rule.
Greeno drove in seven runs on the day as she went 2-for-3. Asia Curkendall was 3-for-4 and scored three runs, and Shelby Swartz went 2-for-3 with a double, three runs and three RBI.
The Indians finished with 13 hits and eight walks.
Defensively, Candor committed just one error while Greeno twirled a three-hit shutout. She struck out four and walked one.
The Indians (1-1) head to Newfield today.
