TIOGA COUNTY — Volleyball owns the spotlight this evening as a pair of IAC powers clash on the court. In a battle of IAC South division champions, unbeaten Newark Valley (Large School) visits Candor (Small School), whose only setback has come against Section IV Class B powerhouse Owego.
CROSS COUNTRY
Newark Valley, Owego at Marathon Invitational, 4 p.m.: The Indians get a little prep for next week's STAC dual meet with M-E.
FIELD HOCKEY
Marathon at Owego (3-2), 5:30 p.m.: The Indians had their three-game win streak snapped eight days ago and are kicking off a three-day stretch of games. Owego shut out the Olympians March 20.
GIRLS SOCCER
Owego at Seton Catholic, 5 p.m.: The Indians won, 6-0, when the two teams met in mid-March.
VOLLEYBALL
Newark Valley (9-0) at Candor (8-1), 5:30 p.m.: Candor played Newfield Tuesday, but there were no referees, so the match was not official. The Cardinals swept Watkins Glen Tuesday.
