IAC VOLLEYBALL: NEWARK VALLEY SWEEPS WATKINS GLEN, IMPROVES TO 9-0 (2021-04-14)

NEWARK VALLEY — Newark Valley swept Watkins Glen in IAC volleyball action for the second straight day and third time this season Tuesday. The scores were 25-10, 25-10 and 25-4.

Allie Wandell handed out 15 assists and served up 10 aces for the Cardinals, and also had three kills and three digs. Emma Graves contributed eight kills, six aces, five digs and two assists; Gracie Gardner had six kills, three aces and a block; and Jasmine Graham added six kills, an ace and an assist.

Makana Gardner chipped in with three kills and a block; Daisy Keller-Perry had an assist and a dig; and Katie Greene and Jenna Hanson tacked on two digs apiece.

For WG, Robin Zimba had five digs, Cassidy Ploucha pitched in with five points, including three aces; Cloey Wratten had four kills, and Jade Scaptura tacked on three assists.

Newark Valley (9-0) visits Candor Thursday.

JV: The Cardinals won, 2-0, taking both games by 10-9 scores. The Senecas won the exhibition third game, 25-20.
