COLLEGE CROWD: OWEGO GRAD PIERCE WINS 100 FLY (2021-03-31)

BOSTON — University of Massachusetts sophomore Summer Pierce won the 100-yard butterfly in 151-148 loss to Boston University March 20. The Owego grad posted a time of 58.06 seconds.

Pierce also placed second in the 200 fly with a time of 2:06.08 and swam a leg of the third-place 200 medley relay (1:49.41).

UMass returns to action at the Atlantic 10 championships, which will be held April 14-17 at the Spire Institute in Ohio.

Due to COVID-19 protocols, these are the only meets the Minutewomen will compete in this season.
