ODESSA — Spencer-Van Etten and Odessa-Montour knocked down six 3-pointers apiece, but the Panthers had a trio of players score in double figures to defeat O-M, 51-38, in IAC action here Monday.

S-VE's Sophia Dutra and Cassidy Evans hit one three each in the first quarter to match two by the Indians' Taylor Cain and give the Panthers a 13-01 lead.

Rhiana Lawrence made her first trey in the second quarter as S-VE extended its lead to 24-16.

Lawrence and Adriana Newman connected on one three apiece to match Cain and Mackenzie Cannon, and the Panthers carried a 35-28 advantage into the final eight minutes.

Cain popped for two more threes in the final stanza, but Lawrence nailed her third of the evening and Hannah Martinez notched six points.

Martinez would finish the night with a team-high 12 points, followed closely by Lawrence and Dutra with 11 and 10, respectively. Abigail Bunce added six points, Newman tacked on five, Evans had three, and Ashleigh Morais and Hannah Forrest added two apiece.

Cain scored a game-high 19 for O-M (1-7).

S-VE (2-3) hosts Notre Dame (6-1) Tuesday.
