TIOGA COUNTY — The Owego and SVEC wrestling teams open the season at home while three basketball games have been moved to Wednesday due to weather-related issues.
All of Wednesday's events will begin at
BOYS BASKETBALL
Newark Valley (0-1) at Waverly (2-0), 5:30 p.m.: NV lost its only game to date to S-VE while the Wolverines swept Candor.
Tioga (0-3) at Candor (1-2), 6 p.m.: The game has been moved up from Thursday due to the potential for bad weather. Candor won Monday's meeting, 56-43.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Owego (2-0) at Horseheads (0-2), 6:30 p.m.: The Indians are coming off a pair of impressive wins over Tioga last week while the Blue Raiders fell to Waverly, 59-53, in their latest outing.
Waverly (3-0) at Newark Valley (1-0), 5:30 p.m.: The Cardinals are coming off an easy win over Watkins Glen while Waverly was impressive in a victory against Horseheads.
WRESTLING
Edison at Owego, 5:30 p.m.: The Spartans have a small roster with just six members.
OM/WG at SVEC, 5:30 p.m.: The Eagles' and Seneca Indians' seasons kick off with a clash of merged programs.
