CORRECTION: COVID-19 DID NOT CAUSE BOWLING POSTPONEMENT (2021-01-13)

OWEGO — Tioga County Sports Report has learned via a tweet from @OFAAthletics1 that Monday's bowling match between Owego and Norwich was NOT postponed due to COVID-19 concerns.

It was first reported on the website earlier this week in the article TAYLOR MADE: COVID-19 — THE COUSIN EDDIE OF 2020 (AND 2021 FOR THAT MATTER) that due to an increase of more than 100 cases of the coronavirus in Chenango County over the weekend, Norwich's trip to Owego for a STAC inter-divisional bowling match had to be postponed. The postponement was also noted in the website's On Tap Today and was posted on Twitter.

While there was a rise in positive COVID-19 cases in Chenango County over the weekend, it had no bearing on the decision to postpone the match.
